Forest Manager Vacancy

To support continued growth in our Scottish and Welsh client base, we have positions available for experienced and graduate forest managers to join our accomplished team.

We are seeking a Forest Manager with minimum 3 years’ experience to support the delivery of a professional and client-focused woodland management service in Central Scotland, based in our Perth Office.  You will also have experience in the management of established commercial forest assets. Additionally, supporting the identification and development of woodland creation opportunities, together with overseeing operational aspects, will be a key part of the role.  You will hold a relevant degree and have achieved, or be working towards, ICF Chartership. 

We also have vacancies for two Graduate Foresters to support the delivery of operational programmes. These are based at our Perth and Brecon Offices, supporting the existing forest management team across a diverse and expanding portfolio.  Relevant pre-university or mid-year placement experience would be a distinct advantage. 

For these roles, the successful candidates will be strongly motivated and maintain high professional standards. A sound knowledge of UK forestry acquired through academic study and practical application will be developed in the context of a range of forest types, ideally from lowland estate forestry to upland commercial forestry.  You will have knowledge and awareness of UKFS, UKWAS and the associated regulatory processes in the respective countries, and be able to demonstrate a functional understanding of the full range of operations from new planting and restocking through to harvesting operations.  You will be attentive to  the requirements of delivering a high quality forest management service, being dilligent, organised and effective with various forms of communication.  The effective use of IT applications commonly used to support forest management is already part of your workflow, as is a desire to learn new technologies and processes.
